This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for all scholarships, bursaries and awards, administered by the Resume Companion LLC Scholarship Outreach Program. All scholarships, bursaries and awards will be referred to as ‘scholarships’ herein. By submitting an application for our scholarship, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
You must read these Terms and Conditions in their entirety before you accept your scholarship offer. When you accept your scholarship you are agreeing to and accepting these Terms and Conditions and agree to the requirements and conditions of your scholarship.
Students in receipt of scholarship may also be required to sign an individual scholarship agreement. Students must meet all conditions as outlined in the agreement.
All correspondence between applicant and Resume Companion will be operated primarily via email, with the option of telephone communication, based on Resume Companions decision. All applicants must use a school or university email address to be eligible. Any changes to this email address, after submission of application and without necessary cause, may result in cancellation of their application.
Any successful applicant may be required to show proof that they are enrolled in, or have been accepted to, an accredited university course, commencing studies for the Fall semester for which the funds will be awarded should they win the scholarship.
All students offered scholarships will receive an official ‘offer’ email offering the scholarship, and must reply either accepting or rejecting this offer within 14 days of receipt.
Failure to respond within this 14-day period may result in the scholarship offer being withdrawn and reassigned. You must accept your scholarship offer by the due date, as instructed in your offer email, to be eligible to receive payment.
Resume Companion will make payment of the funds in one single installment, though we reserve the right to make payment in multiple installments, as we see fit. The scholarship will be transferred via Paypal, and therefore require any awardee to have an active Paypal account. Failure to accept payment via this channel may lead to the scholarship being denied and offered to another applicant.
The total value of the scholarship offered will be outlined in the official offer email. We reserve the right to offer any value of funds, up to the value of $1000.
Scholarships are awarded based on established eligibility criteria. You must meet the eligibility requirements to receive your scholarship payment. The eligibility requirements for each scholarship are outlined on our scholarship page of our website.
You may be permitted to hold more than one scholarship.
Resume Companion is not responsible for and cannot provide you with financial advice on taxation matters. The information provided here is of a general nature only and does not take into account your individual financial circumstances. If you are enrolled full-time (at least 18 credit points per semester), your scholarship payment may not be taxed, however Resume Companion is not responsible for checking and notifying you of, nor paying any taxation obligations.
Providing false or misleading information is an offense. If Resume Companion knows or has reason to believe that you have provided false or misleading information, Resume Companion may reassess your entitlement to the scholarship and you will be liable to re-pay to Resume Companion the total sum of any payments incorrectly made to you.
Resume Companion reserve the right to cancel the Scholarship program at any point. Resume Companion reserve the right to share your application with any company affiliates, including personal information such as your email address.
