The first step in catching the attention of camp directors is an outstanding cover letter.
1. Emphasize Qualities According to Camp Type
Similar to how you would write your camp counselor resume, take into account the type of camp you’re applying to. This will inform which aspects of yourself you’ll want to emphasize in your cover letter.
In our example, the applicant is seeking a job at a summer camp, which will seek to hire counselors that are more physically fit than, say, those at a computer programming camp.
